Who are we

Our team is led by an extremely talented Irish coffee professional and two passionate Colombians who are proud to call Ireland home.

Jess brings her full cycle coffee expertise from working in cafes and roasting coffee in Ireland to her experience living in stunning coffee farms of Colombia – learning straight from the people who put their heart and soul into growing the beans we all love. Both Jorge and Augusto have extensive experience in trading and shipping commodities worldwide and have decided to step out from the corporate world and pour their respective knowledge and expertise into a project of their own. Hence the founding of Arcadia – to bring into Ireland the best speciality coffee responsibly and sustainably sourced from long term partnerships with Colombian producers.

Jess Lynch

An experienced roaster leads the quality, product development and technical support at Arcadia. Jess left Ireland to Colombia in June 2024 for a year long stint with a heart full of curiosity and little Spanish. Since then, she is been diving headfirst into the vibrant world of the green coffee supply chain meeting incredible people, sharing laughs (and some dodgy translations) and discovering what makes coffee such a powerful bridge between us all.

Coffee isn’t just about taste to Jess: it’s about people. Whether it’s the farmer tending the soil, their family supporting the harvest, the pickers carefully selecting the cherries, the transporters ensuring everything moves smoothly, the mill workers perfecting the process, the roaster crafting the perfect batch, or the barista serving it with a smile: everyone has a story worth telling. She has been building long term relationships with every single person involved in our supply chain, meeting and having time with as many as she possibly can, sharing her knowledge and experience as a roaster and leaving her mark along the way.

Augusto Amaya

Procurement & Sales at Arcadia are the remit of Augusto Amaya, who was relocated on secondment in 2010 from a Colombian commodities company to its sister company in Ireland. For more than a decade, Augusto was in charge of sales to new and existing customers in EMEA, while managing high profile key business accounts.

Besides being a coffee enthusiast who is driven to bring to the market the best Colombia has to offer, Augusto is a personable professional with a wide business network, and a vast experience in providing high quality pre- and post- sales service to a range of different types of customers across multiple geographies. At Arcadia, Augusto divides his time between working with producers to guarantee the security of supply of coffee and, to cater for the tailored requirements of our customers with a timely delivery of the products that fit their needs.

Jorge Florez

Jorge Florez is in charge of everything related to Logistics & Operations at Arcadia. Jorge moved to Dublin more than fifteen years ago to join the Freight and Operations team of the same Colombian company Augusto worked for, and in 2018 he was promoted to lead the Freight and Logistics Department as its Manager. Jorge is passionate about freight, logistics and operations: continuously thinking about how to improve processes & procedures and how to implement new ones. He is an empowered decision maker with a sharp focus on objectivity and the benefit of all stakeholders. With more than twenty years of experience in an international and multicultural work environment, Jorge is bringing his expertise to Arcadia as a customer and service-oriented team player.
